Interment of ex-P.C. George W. Currin
The interment of former Police Constable George Wilford Currin which took place at Burton Latimer Cemetery on December 29 1937. He was aged 84. A report in the Northampton Mercury stated that the bearers at the funeral were Police-Sergt. Richardson, Sergt. Tozer, Constables Allen, Stapleton, Woolmer and Preece, who were under the charge of Inspector Chapman (Kettering). Also in attendance were ex-Supt. H. Tebbey (Kettering), ex-P.C. Garlick (Bugbrooke), ex-P.C. Champ (Middleton) and ex-P.C. Short (Broughton).

Police 24 Sgt Syd Richardson, whose stay in Burton Latimer, from 1937 to his retirement in 1947, included the war years. He arrived at Burton Latimer after serving at Daventry, Little Houghton, Weedon and Pattishall
