Bus Collision 1952
Taken from an undated cutting of a small feature in the local paper. The incident was originally thought to be in 1952, but another source has subsequently named the date as Sep 24th, 1948 .

The aftermath of the collision of two double-decker buses which occurred i thick fog near Burton Latimer in September 1952

Forty people were injured when these United Counties double-decker buses crashed in thick fog in Polwell Lane, near Burton Latimer, in the last week of September. It was believed to be the first crash of its kind in the history of the company. Both buses were badly damaged.
