Will of Edward Wood

July 29th 1812


This is the last Will and Testament of me Edward Wood of Burton Lattimer in the County of Northampton, Inn-Keeper .

I give and devise to my dear Wife Mary Wood after my decease all my real and personal Estate which I now possess or may be possessed of at my death. Houses Lands Out Houses Moneys Chattels Goods and Securities for moneys all that is my legal right I give to my said wife Mary Wood her Heirs and Assigns for ever…… and I do hereby nominate authorise constitute and appoint my said wife Mary Wood full and sole Executrix of this my last Will and Testament and I do now revoke all other former wills by me made. In witness whereof I hereunto set my hand and seal the 29th Day of July in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twelve.

Signed sealed and delivered published and by the said Edward Wood declared to be his last Will in the presence of us who have here to subscribed our Names as Witnesses

On the 31 day of October 1814 Mary Wood the sole Executrix named in the written will was then sworn well and faithfully to fulfil the same according to Law and that the Goods Chattels and Credits of the within named Deceased, do not amount in Value to the sum of £100.
