Mr John Meadows aged 85 years in 1953
Mr Meadows was a former omnibus proprietor. He farmed the land at Hogs Hole (the area between Queensway and the River Ise) for over 60 years and drove his car until he was nearly 90. He died after a short illness, aged 93 in 1961.
