The horned goat is a recognized symbol of the devil. But here is one rector who obviously does not take much notice of the superstition. He is the Rev D. N. Hole, Rector of Burton Latimer, seen here with one of his two goats, which he keeps in the old rectory garden and the bottom cemetery at Burton Latimer. This goat, named Fred, is pictured in the old rectory garden, where he helps to keep the grass to a reasonable height. But Mr. Hole is now wondering what he will do with the two animals now that winter is settling in. He does not want to leave them out during the coldest time of the year.
