Following the annual harvest thanksgiving services at the Baptist Chapel on Sunday, a fancy fair was held in the Assembly-room on Monday afternoon, when a number of articles left from last year's bazaar were offered for sale the object being the purchase of a site of land in Alexander Street for an infant school. A balance of £25 remains in the school from last year's Jubilee Fund, and it was hoped to increase this to £50 as result of this special effort.
