A man who objects to being dead (officially) yesterday asked Kettering Revision Court to be brought to life (officially), but the court held that resurrection is beyond its powers. Some time ago a man, living at Burton Latimer, became gravely ill, and doctors prophesied that he was going to die. Local officials had so much faith in the doctors that they took the man's name off the voting list as dead. But the patient refused to die. He recovered, and demanded his vote. The registration officer yesterday told the man that he must stay dead. |
