Ram raiders smashed into an electrical shop this morning and stole a hi-fi system. Police say thieves drove into the front windows of Arthur Turner Electrical Contractors in The raiders escaped with a £350 Sharp hi-fi system and an electric blanket. Ann Turner, from the family-run firm, said it was still business as usual at the shop today. She said: "We were up at 5 am this morning clearing up. We are open for business today, something like this isn't going to stop us. We have grilles up but they smashed the side windows." Mrs Turner said she could not estimate the cost of the damage to the shop. Joe Greenwood, who lives above Rosemary's hairdressers, near the electrical shop, said he saw a Land Rover-type vehicle with a white roof and blue sides being used in the raid.
