Accident at Coles Boot Co - On Thursday afternoon week a shocking accident occurred at Coles' boot factory, Burton Latimer. A painter in the employ of Mr O P Drever, of Kettering, who was at work there was caught in the shafting - it is supposed by his apron - and he was drawn round it. The machinery was stopped as quickly as possible but he was seriously injured in the skull and his arm was broken. After first aid, and a doctor had been procured, he was taken to Kettering District General Hospital. The case was regarded as very serious, but on Saturday he was still alive. His name is Ralph Sculthorpe, of Havelock Street, Kettering. |
