Will of Benjamin Croxen
19th March 1759

In the name of God Amen. I Benjamin Croxen of Burton Latimer in the County of Northampton being sick and weak in body but of sound mind memory and understanding do make and publish this my last will and testament in manner and form following (To wit)

First of all I give and bequeath unto my beloved son George Smith and his wife Ann my beloved daughter the sum of one guinea each, also I give and bequeath unto my beloved daughter Mary Croxen the sum of one guinea, also I give and bequeath unto my beloved daughter Elisabeth Croxen the sum of one guinea, also I give and bequeath unto Elisabeth my beloved wife all the residue and remainder of all and singular of my worldly goods and effects and all my estate personal and real whatsoever I give devise and bequeath to my beloved wife aforesaid. And I hereby nominate and appoint her (that is to say) Elisabeth my beloved wife Executrix of this my last will and testament, hereby revoking all former will and wills by me heretofore made.

In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this nineteenth day of March and in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and fifty nine

Signed, sealed, published and declared by the above named Benjamin Croxen as and for his last will and testament in the presence of us who have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses thereto in the presence of the said testator and in the presence of each other
