Mr. Lewis Langford, 42 Finedon Road, Burton Latimer, director of Coles Group, Burton Latimer, and president of Kettering and District Boot and Shoe Manufacturers’ Association, who died on April 22 left £33,556 gross, £33,423 net value. (Duty paid £7,036).
Mr. Langford joined the Coles Boot Co. as a foreman in the clicking room, and later became works manger before joining the board. He has been a director of E.K. Coles (Burton Latimer) Ltd., Individual Shoes Ltd., Beaufort Shoes, Ltd. Compere Shoes, Ltd., Arthur Nutt and Co., Ltd., Finedon and joint managing director of Whitney and Westley. Ltd.
He left his property specifically to his wife and son, Garth. Probate has been granted to his widow, Mrs. Barbara M. Langford.of the same address and Eric K. Coles, boot manufacturer, 27 Poplars Farm Road, Barton Seagrave, the surviving executors.
