Messrs Berry and Bagshaw conducted an important sale of property and land at the Red Cow Inn last (Thursday) night, before a good company. The Burton windmill on the Cranford Road, with the house and cottage adjoining, found a purchaser in Mr Jesse Fox for £305.

The freehold properties comprising the stone-built farmhouse, yard, etc, occupied by Mrs Adams were knocked down to the Rev W B Jacques at £875. The auctioneer also offered the plot of freehold land at the corner of New Road and Wold Road, but this was withdrawn at 1s 5d per yard. |
