THERE’S DOUBLE JOY FOR BURTON’S CRICKETERS

Burton Latimer Cricket Club had double cause for celebration last weekend. The club ‘s under-11 team were competing in the County Finals Day at Great Oakley and claimed victory over Finedon Dolben in the final to complete a fine treble.

Their county success added to the Corby & District Youth League and Cup double they had already secured.

And on the same day, there was delight for the senior players as well. Burton had home advantage for the Last Man Stands Regional Final and they were crowned East Midlands champions for the second year running. They won all three matches on the day, including the final against TFC. It means Burton now advance to the National Finals which will also be held at Hall Field over the weekend of September 24 and 25.
