PROGRAMME OF PARADE

Parade starts from MISSION ROOM, FINEDON ROAD, at 2.30 pm prompt
headed by FINEDON OLD PRIZE BAND. The Route is High Street, Duke Street, Alexandra Street, Finedon Street, Rosebery Street, Spencer Street, Newman Street, High Street, Church Street, Station Road, New Estate, William Street, Recreation Field.

The following letter comes from BURTON LATIMER HOSPITAL COMMITTEE.

In the year 1938, the total receipts were £793/17/7. The receipts are steadily increasing and this is due to the hearty co-operation of our fellow townsmen in helping in so many ways. To say that we are grateful to the Gala Committee for the handsome donation of £63/10/9 does not nearly express our sentiments for we appreciate to the full the amount of hard work that has to be done to achieve such a financial success, for the beneficient objects that participate, in the proceeds of Gala Day.

As regards Northampton General Hospital, Vouchers are issued by MR J BULL, FINEDON STREET, and only those with vouchers are the ones which your local committee will accept liability for. Unless a person requiring treatment has a voucher "which is only given to a Guild Member" they will have to be interviewed at the Hospitals regarding their financial indebtedness and how much they can pay.

We say with confidence that it is much better to pay 2d per week and be relieved of the worry of a Hospital account, than if the unforeseen occurs and you have to receive Hospital treatment and are asked to pay for same.

The slogan for the Hospitals is -

"You MAY need our help, but we DO need yours."

G E GILBERT, Treasure
