MISSING BURTON MAN NOW REPORTED KILLED
Mr. and Mrs. Alfred H. Kilborn, High Street, Burton Latimer, have recieved an official intimation to the effect that their youngest son, Rifleman Arthur John Kilborn, 10479, Rifle Brigade, who had been reported missing on July 10th, 1916, is now regretfully known to have lost his life in action on the afternoon of that day at Pozieres, at the age of 23. He enlisted in May 1915, and went to France in July 1916. Prior to joing the Army he worked at home with his father as a carpenter. Deep sympathy is expressed with his parents and sister Mabel also his brother, Signaller Charles E. Kilborn who is stationed with the Canadian Forces at Shorncliffe.
