The Museum
The Museum consist of three sections:
The main room contains the conservation standard display cabinets purchased with a Heritage Lottery Fund grant in 2011.
The middle room houses our permanent Weetabix display cabinet, kindly donated by Weetabix Ltd in 2025, plus additional general display.
The research room with additional display cabinets plus our computer facilities. The main computer has a searchable index of the files containing images from (currently in 2026) 52 exhibitions with many thousands of references to Burton Latimer people. This computer also has voice recordings of interviews with Burton Latimer residents.
A laptop with the “John Peck” collection of Historic England aerial images taken of Burton Latimer in 1950. Connected to this is a large TV screen on which we show PowerPoint slide shows of images, usually relating to the current exhibition.
All the rooms have noticeboards fitted by Kensigns Ltd.
